It behooves me to formally be the first to extend my warmest welcome here at SapphicSavvy because ✨WE ARE SOOOOOO BACK✨
For those of you who are new here, a quick summary:
We got a grant to make an app for WLW (yay!)
We got done with most of the app last year (wahoo!)
We got our grant cut by Tr*mp (booo)
We launched the app anyways (hell yeah!)
We got our grant reinstated! (LETS GOOO)
We put our launch on pause while we finally finished the app (yipee!)
We launched for real this time this week!!
We’re super excited to finally be back on track and absolutely thrilled you’re here too! So what is this part of the app you may ask? Well, this is where the assistant at SapphicSavvy gets to play around with some numbers and post her deepest, most complex, inner thoughts on the public web! And by that I mean, I look at the results, crunch some numbers, and speculate out of my ass. This is the equivalent of giving a man a podcast microphone btw.
Handy Mandy
It seems like the rumors are true and sapphics are pretty good with their hands… for, like, household repairs! Although, I’m sure this applies in other ways too 🤭
We had a whopping 79% of all users report that they are handy enough to do at least minor repairs. That’s pretty impressive. No, like that’s really cool that you can figure that out :) Where did you learn to do that? Wowww, so you’re like, really capable :)) Could you mount something for me? I meant the TV! Unless… :)))
There were some differences for this by group, but I’m honestly still really pleasantly surprised by just how capable everyone is! It seems like you all are too, since the average guess was about 20% lower than the actual answer. Why is that? Is it because we, too, have internalized a narrative about women not usually being handy? Or did we think our paternal figure treating us kinda like a son sometimes was a unique experience? Either way, the indomitable DIY spirit of the wlw community is alive and well in our users! And trust that next time I need help on a repair, I will be dropping a question in our chat and relying on one of you handy mfs to tell me what to do. LBQGPT or whatever.
Age-Gaps
Next up to talk about is age gaps.
Hm.
Listen. To each their own. I know people who will die by their MILFs. I also know people who will swear up and down that anything over 3 years is weird.
I’m not going to touch this one! As long as y’all are being safe legal adults, it’s your life.

Is it Hot In Here?
Now for a hot new piece of media: Heated Rivalry. I have heard about this show non-stop recently. But can y’all keep a secret? I haven’t watched it…
Now hold on! I know it’s acclaimed, and I’ve had it be recommended by other sapphic women, but idk I just haven’t gotten around to it yet? It seems like many of y’all are in the same boat too, as only a hair over a quarter of y’all reported watching and liking it. It’s got some pretty different results by identity groups too.
Now, the thing about this question is that we kinda made it a 2 in 1 (which we generally avoid bc it makes results hard to interpret but c’set la vie). Just because people are answering “no” to this question doesn’t inherently mean they didn’t like it, it might just mean they haven’t watched it. To those that watched it and loved it, we’re not trying to yuck your yum! You can keep recommending it! Maybe I’ll get around to it next week…
If you watched it and didn’t like it, that’s valid too. There’s something to be said about having queer media that reflects wlw relationships specifically, and be it great or not, Heated Rivalry didn’t have that. It’s okay to have preferences!
